📡 Relay Recap #64
Hello again, Pocketeers - we’re back again with another Relay Recap.
In the time frame covered here, Pocket Network relays showed strong consistency and a steady climb towards the 1 billion daily relay mark (a milestone we’ve now officially achieved!).
Throughout the week, the network serviced an average of 930 million daily relays, with 6 of the 7 days closing above 900 million relays. The daily high for this time period was recorded at 973 million on May 9th.
Overall, 6.5 billion relays were serviced during the week, representing a 13% increase over the 5.74 billion relays the prior week.

Polygon Mainnet held down the top spot in relays for the week, with a total of 2 billion. While still maintaining this top spot, Polygon’s share of total Pocket Network relays actually decreased compared to the prior week, from about 38% to 32%. This was due to both a dip in Polygon’s total relays (down from 2.2 billion the prior week), as well as growth in some of the other chains serviced by Pocket Network.
Gnosis - xDai posted strong growth during this period, from 135 million daily relays early in the week all the way up to a daily high of 228 million (a 69% increase). The growth during the week also resulted in Gnosis - xDai increasing its share of total network relays from 16% in the prior week to 21% this week.
BSC Mainnet also more than doubled its daily relay figures during the week, jumping from 9.9 million daily relays all the way up to 20.5 million by the end of the week. This continues the strong growth trend that BSC established in April.
Meanwhile, FUSE Mainnet, Fantom, and Ethereum each showed consistent day-to-day relay numbers, with daily totals for each of the three staying in a 50-75 million channel.
For Fantom, one of the newest chains we’ve allowlisted, the above performance was already strong enough to vault it into 4th place in total weekly relays amongst all chains!

Note: With Fantom already showing strong relay totals, it’s a good time to learn more about Fantom and Pocket Network’s partnership and vision for the future. Check out the recording of a recent AMA with Fantom CEO Michael Kong and Pocket Network CEO Michael O’Rourke.
As of May 11th, Pocket Network’s decentralized infrastructure included 46,718 active nodes across approximately 30 different countries, allowing the network to provide constant uptime and resiliency while supporting nearly 50 different chains.
Total relays continued their strong, consistent climb during this timeframe, paving the way for our recent milestone of 1 billion daily relays. We expect this to be the first of many billions of relays serviced day in and day out by Pocket Network.
Furthermore, strong growth in some of the top chains, combined with newly supported chains coming out of the gates quickly, led to the continued diversification of relay sources.
We look forward to seeing our awesome community at Infracon next week!
